At sunrise on Saturday, August 26th, 2006 I put on a mountain climbing harness, and secured myself to the roof of my blue BMW. For two and half hours I painted the desert landscape with oil paints on linen panels, while a friend drove my car at speeds up to 75 miles per hour (120kmph) on the highway, near Joshua Tree National Park, two hours east of Los Angeles, California. (Video camera: Greg Kucera. Still Photography by Kory Kinder. Drivers: Aaron Bocanegra and Zachary Stadel) |
Above is the orginal video that was broadcast on television in Austria (3 minutes, 47 seconds).
